The Origin Of The Barbie and Ken Dolls
Many children who have a favorite type of toy. This can be teddy bears, dolls Cabbage Patch, Care Bears, dogs and cats soft. They may even be the famous doll Barbie and Ken. The Barbie and Ken dolls are made so that they resemble adults. The many careers and styles years have an impact on the lives of these dolls. The original Barbie doll is based on a German doll called Bild Lilli. After Mattel made Barbie and acquired the rights to the German doll, Lilli was soon abandoned. Barbie then been officially named Barbara Millicent Roberts. Ken was named Ken Carson. The names of the dolls barbie and Ken have been taken from the names Ruth Handler, who was the original designer of Barbie.
While Barbie made her debut on the toy market in 1959 at the Toy Fair in New York, Ken made its appearance in 1961. From 1961 Barbie and Ken have been considered as a couple. Their relationship is a relationship on and off. After a relationship of 43 years, Mattel Company decided it was time for the two dolls relationship to end.
